This event, attended by key stakeholders, marks the beginning of a transformative journey in local manufacturing, promising economic growth and technological advancement.

A Partnership with Global Potential

The manufacturing plant, established in collaboration with the renowned Chinese mobile company Vivo, is set to start production within the next two years. The event saw the presence of Vivo officials and FIEDMC Chief Executive Officer Mian Jamil Ahmed, underlining the importance of this collaboration. This partnership is expected to bring cutting-edge technology to Pakistan’s mobile manufacturing industry, enhancing the local market’s capability to produce high-quality products.

Economic Benefits and Job Creation

Addressing the attendees, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain emphasized the immense potential of this venture in boosting Pakistan’s economy. The minister highlighted that the entry of Vivo into the local manufacturing sector would contribute to reducing mobile phone prices, making technology more accessible to a broader audience. Additionally, the project is set to create numerous job opportunities for the country’s talented youth, providing a much-needed boost to the employment sector.

Encouraging Foreign Investment

The minister expressed optimism about the increasing interest of foreign investors in Pakistan, particularly in Punjab. He attributed this to the favorable policies, incentives, and facilities provided by the government. The groundbreaking of the Vivo manufacturing plant is a testament to Pakistan’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and attracting billions of rupees in direct foreign investment.

Commitment to Sustainability

In a symbolic gesture of commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness, the minister also planted a sapling at the site. This act reflects the broader vision of incorporating sustainable practices in industrial growth and development.
