Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Announces Free Laptop Scheme for BanoQabil Graduates

In a significant step toward empowering Pakistan’s youth, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, has unveiled a free laptop scheme for top-performing graduates of the BanoQabil program. This announcement was made during a gathering of thousands of students at the aptitude test for BanoQabil 4.0 in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, according to ARY News.

A Call for Equality in Education

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman emphasized the dire need for a unified education system for Pakistan’s 250 million citizens. He advocated for one standard, one system, and one syllabus to ensure equality in educational opportunities across the nation.

Distinguished Guests in Attendance

The event saw attendance from prominent personalities who inspired the students, including:

  • Dr. Ishrat Hussain, renowned educationist.
  • Sadiq Muhammad, former test cricketer.
  • Veteran actors Behroz Sabzwari, Ayaz Khan, and Zaiba Shahnaz.

Focus on Youth Empowerment

Highlighting that 60% of Pakistan’s population is under 30 years old, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman urged the youth to focus on acquiring emerging IT-based skills rather than considering emigration. He described the BanoQabil program as a “game changer” for Pakistan’s economy, especially in enhancing IT-based exports.

Achievements of the BanoQabil Program

Over the past two years, more than 48,000 students have graduated from the BanoQabil program, with many finding meaningful job opportunities facilitated by JI.

Free Laptop Scheme for Graduates

As part of his address, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman announced the distribution of 10,000 free laptops in the program’s first phase to enable graduates to access international job markets and earn sustainable livelihoods.

Call to Action for Karachi’s Youth

Encouraging youth to rise against injustices and corrupt leadership, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated,

“Pakistan belongs to its youth, not to generals, capitalists, or the elite.”

JI Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar echoed similar sentiments, urging young participants to reject negative propaganda and focus on serving Pakistan.

This initiative underlines JI’s commitment to empowering Pakistan’s youth through education, skill development, and job creation. The BanoQabil program and its associated opportunities represent a critical step towards building a brighter, IT-driven future for Pakistan.
