Google Pixel 9a Leaks: Full Specifications, Design, Price, and Release Date

Google’s Pixel 9a, slated for release in March 2025, is generating excitement among tech enthusiasts with multiple leaks unveiling its full specifications. The upcoming device will bring enhanced features, a new design, and strong performance, all while maintaining the affordable pricing that the Pixel A-series is known for. Let’s dive into the key specs and features of the Google Pixel 9a.

Design and Display

The Google Pixel 9a will sport a 6.28-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. It will boast peak brightness of 2,700 nits and be protected by durable Gorilla Glass 3. The display promises vibrant colors and crisp visuals, perfect for media consumption. Despite its larger 5,100 mAh battery, the Pixel 9a maintains a compact design, measuring 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9 mm and weighing just 185.9 grams.

Performance

Under the hood, the Pixel 9a will be powered by Google’s own Tensor G4 chipset. Coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the phone promises smooth performance for everyday tasks, gaming, and multitasking. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring ample space for apps, photos, and videos.

Camera System

The Pixel 9a will come with a dual rear camera setup. The main camera will feature a 48MP f/1.7 lens with Samsung’s ISOCELL GN8 sensor, while the ultrawide camera will be a 13MP f/2.2 lens using the Sony IMX712 sensor. The same 13MP sensor will also be used for the front-facing camera, catering to high-quality selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging

The Pixel 9a will include a 5,100 mAh battery, offering all-day battery life. It supports 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging. Additionally, the device is IP68-rated, ensuring protection against dust and water.

Software and Updates

The Pixel 9a will ship with Android 15 and promises seven years of software and security updates. This extended support ensures that the device will stay up-to-date with the latest features and security patches, providing peace of mind to users.

Price and Availability

The Google Pixel 9a will be available in four color options: Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony. The base model with 128GB of storage will be priced at $499, while the version supporting mmWave 5G (likely a Verizon exclusive) will cost $549. This pricing aligns with previous models in the Pixel A series, making it a competitive option in the mid-range smartphone market.

The Google Pixel 9a is shaping up to be a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone category for 2025. With its powerful Tensor G4 chipset, impressive camera setup, large battery, and long software support, the Pixel 9a is set to offer a premium experience at an affordable price. Stay tuned for the official launch in March 2025.
